Hello!  Welcome to Slow English. Let me introduce myself: my name is Cole Nightingale. I am an experienced and qualified English teacher. I am very excited to be able to offer you this wonderful opportunity to improve the fluency of your English. My aim is to provide you with a text about life in Britain along with me reading along – my plan is to offer this to you every Wednesday.

Be sure to also subscribe to my accompanying podcast at iTunes. You can do this here ________________ or see the link on the right. This way you will be able to learn on-the-go – on your way to school, university or work. What is so great is that you will be able to follow along with my reading on your MP3 player – the text that appears on the slow-english.com website will automatically be downloaded onto your player.

Please be sure to write me if you have any suggested for topics you’d like me to cover. Remember my focus is on life in Britain. I plan on covering the British sense of humour, music scene, school and university system, Government and politics, the royal family, London life, British fashion and much, much more!

Although this website will be useful to most learners of English, I particularly recommend that you are of at least a pre-intermediate level.

Meanwhile, please be patient – I am planning to have my first post up by at least Wednesday 10th of December.
